Chat: What is it ?

"Chat" is just simply a real time mailing forum, with a keyboard in between.

"How to" mail in real time ?

Each mailing list has its own chat room, protected by login and password, usually the same to access the photo gallery on the list. To find out more about these, refer to the welcome message that you received by e-mail when you subscribed to a list. To access these private rooms (for each list), you just go to the list page to which you subscribed, and click - on the dropdown menu on the left - on "Chat" or "Chat-List".

But Médicalistes also proposes a chat room open to everyone, right here, and not protected by login and a password

Using it is really very easy. Once you click on the list at the bottom of this page, a new window will open.

At the top of this: the title (just to make it look nice)

In the middle: different messages posted by the chatters (all persons actually present, and connected to the chat room); the most recent message posted is at the top of the screen.

At the bottom: at the beginning of the session, you have to type your first name or your username, and then click on "Let’s go !"

Then, still at the bottom of the screen, you can type your messages (generally short) and post those to everyone connected at the same time as you, by clicking on the button "Send". To leave the chat room, click whenever you wish on the button "End".
